Fitness and healthy living has always been important to me. Growing up as a tomboy, climbing trees and tackle football took precedence over playing dress-up. Skinned knees and playing in the mud ruled. Gymnastics, track and field and swimming kept me active. As an adult, many things have changed, but my passion for healthy, active living has remained.There was a period of time after my first child was born, that I became extremely thin. I know from my own experience, that having a weight problem, can be very depressing, whether it's being too heavy or too thin, I was embarrassed to wear certain clothing and remember wearing thick leggings under my jeans so I wouldn't look so bony!  I also remember feeling very intimidated in the gym with my skinny stick arms! It seemed that no matter how much I ate, that I just couldn't put on any weight. My body shape started to change in my mid twenties when I began weight training with more consistency. Shortly after having my sixth child, I completed my first full marathon, which gave me such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. I knew that I could achieve anything after that. I began pushing myself even harder in the gym and educating myself on nutrition. With consistency and determination, the results that I wanted began appearing. Always one for a challenge and goal setting, I decided that I would try a competition. Placing second at my first show gave me great inspiration to continue.

 As they say, the rest is history :).. I approach my daily workouts with much enthusiasm. I look forward to that time during my day when I can relieve stress, sharpen my focus and discipline and continually challenge and improve myself. Staying healthy and fit is necessary for me to have the energy to balance my busy life.

I have always been active but I was frustrated because I felt I had hit a wall in my level of physical fitness. I knew that if I were more regular and deliberate with my workouts and eating habits I could improve but I did not know how to go about making changes. Fran's program gave me exactly what I wanted: many easy to prepare and tasty meals, exactly how much to eat and when, and a detailed plan for each workout session. It was wonderful to be told exactly what to do! I did not have to wonder if I was helping or hurting my progress. I could concentrate on pouring all my energy and discipline into my workouts. Lifting weights has become one of my favourite things to do. It boosts my confidence and exercises my mental toughness and I know that I'm keeping my body healthy.

As I have seen improvements in myself over the past months, I now understand that fitness is a small part knowledge but a BIG part willpower. If you want to be stronger, you can be. It simply takes time, consistency, and discipline. The only thing that can hold me back now is my lack of discipline and preparation. The best part about the program is that it's never going to be over. I have changed my exercise routine and eating habits permanently and I can only continue to improve.

After a few weeks of training with Fran, I saw results. She had me competition ready in 12 weeks. The nutrition program was easy to follow, I was never hungry & had a lot of energy to get through all my training sessions. The plan was more of a lifestyle change! Following the meal plan made me feel amazing & I had no cravings for bad foods! The workouts were challenging & made me push my body to limits I never thought possible.  I  am now training for another competition & I wouldn’t have anyone other then Fran to help me get there!
